WireLess Deployer is composed of:
* A Server PC.
* Clients installed on the PDA.
The Client installed on the PDA is composed of:
* A "Launcher", which has a user interface that allows launching
applications and blocking the access to the OS.
* A Client that performs communication tasks and package updating.
* A Remote Control system (servers) that allows to control the file system,
screen, keyboard and processes).
The Server is composed of:
* An Agent service that acts as file server, alert administrator and
communication system with the PDA.
* A Console having a user interface to manage everything.
* A group of "Remote Control Clients" for server connection.
* A "Packet express" utility that allows to create packages easily.
The Statistics module is composed of:
* An integrator that groups the WireLess Deployer Agent's activity logs on a
database.
* A user web interface for queries and statistics.
WireLess Deployer Client (WDp.exe): It downloads new packages, launches applications and receives text messages from the WireLess Deployer Console. It's installed in the PDA.
WireLess Deployer Agent (WireLessDeployerAgent.exe): It's a Windows NT/2000/XP service. It performs the file transfer. It's installed in the PC.
WireLess Deployer Console (WDpConsole.exe): It's a user interface. It adds new packages to the PDA, updates current packages and administrates package, collection and units configuration. It's installed in the PC.
Units Data: It contains information about the mobile units as the Mac address, the IP, the model name, and the last installed packages.
Packages Data: It contains information about the applications and the configuration files of the packages.
Collection Data: A collection is a group of packages meant for one/several mobile unit/s. The collection data contains information about the different collections: description, name, list of available packages in that collection, uninstall list and formula list.
Applications: The applications launched on the client.
WireLess Deployer allows to manage several IP sites from a central console. These sites are subnets accessible by VPN, which enables the communication between the Console and Agent and the PDA.

The sites are accessible for the
Agent and the Console through Broadcast (all, not routed), Multicast (Site,
routed) and Unicast (individual, routed).
Sites can be configured (IP address of the subnet and mask with bit number) or
discovered automatically.
